This collection of songs has travelled with me to busy places, They sat with me on my island of solitude. They can keep you company on sunny and/or rainy days. They were never made to be pushed onto someone, even though while writing I was constantly aware of my brain trying to figure out the needs/wants of other people... I started forgetting myself.

The title "Characters In The Dark" refers to the feeling that in the darkness, when no one else is looking, when no one can see us, we can be whomever we want to be. In that notion I found myself again. And I hope I can pass it on to you.

A little EP recorded to collect some tips at shows in (and from) 2012. I recorded everything in my old room in the attic and then Jannes Van Rossem swept in and helped in mixing and mastering the tracks. So thanks Jannes but also a very special thank you to Carolien & Laura for helping me out with booking and managing my musicalities. The first throw at recording some of my first songs even written under the Oakfield Drive moniker. It was written as an open journal. A chronology of events at a particular time in life, if you will. Thanks to Willem for helping me out on making sense of how to actually get sound waves onto a plastic disc back in 2008.
